Ascension Symptom, Scenes from childhood and the Throat Chakra.

No stranger to the world outside of our own I've been quite intrigued with
the subject of Ascension Symptom. The message that I am a healer  has come
to me loud and clear these last few years. I've ignored it for most of my twenties
for various reasons, one main one being I didn't believe it, "Me a healer? Really?".
But a shift occurred about three years ago. I started to entertain the idea and realize
that I didn't have books on Chakras, Reiki, Gemstone healing and Herbalism for
the heck of it. Naughty me, letting the clouds and darkness of my past cloud my vision
and ability to see myself as a powerful being that CAN help others. I knew
I was a survivor, most people who grow up the way I did become not so productive
members of society. But I made it out, I went to College, can speak two languages
and working on a third, learned numerous skills and fine tuned my talents.
With this new confidence in my ability I became curious of the path of a healer.
I wondered, just how many great healers had awful childhoods?

I work with the goddess Kali on a regular basis and at least once a year with Papa Legba.
Intense yes, but it makes complete sense that I walk with them throughout this life.
If I could compare my life to a tarot card it would be the Tower. But now I feel I've
finally risen, the Phoenix, the practicing medicine woman. Now I stand at the beginning,
I am the Fool card and starting a wondrous journey. My sack over my shoulder
filled with a deck of tarot cards, a stick of sage, a journal and some must have gemstones.

I've been receiving some amazing messages through the cards and normal day to day
conversation. Last week I said hello to a friend of mine and he said, "You have a voice,
something to share. Have you ever thought about performing? Being on stage?
I can see that. Open your throat chakra." In that moment I was flooded with memories
of myself  at 6 years old dancing and singing in front of the mirror. Performing my little
heart out, even doing costume changes! Where did that fire go? How did I become 27
with a crippling stage fright? How is writing my first love,  it comes out of me like breathing
air but I've been too shy to share it until now? Don't get me wrong I'm still shy, a little afraid,
wondering if my audience is out there. I know now I MUST say, do, speak, write and
perform what I feel and know. I've got the fire burning under my feet and now I'm growing
the confidence to do it. I guess having all those planets in Scorpio is helping me out now.

Feeling empowered after my friends words I started wearing Larimar and Chrysocolla for
my throat chakra. A huge fan of Flower Essences I also started taking FES Trumpet Vine.
Withing days I was hit with an awful cold, I could barely get out of bed. I knew I dressed
properly all week, I didn't let the sun light fool me and wore a scarf, what could have
made me sick? Then I head the term Ascension Syndrome and it all fell into place.
I already feel the powerful shift that we are in on this planet I've been extra careful not to
pick up any astral nasties or energy cords. But by doing this work on my Throat chakra
I'm opening a huge door, one that may lead to many things. Maybe I'm well on the road now,
by opening and clearing my throat chakra, to where I'm supposed to be. Maybe this is the staircase
leading to my life as a gypsy performer who practices crystal healing and reiki on the side.
The possibilities are endless!

This is not my first encounter with Ascension symptoms, I've had them since last year.
But this time around my sleeping patterns have been greatly affected. On the plus side
I seem to catch all the double numbers when I look at the time, especially 11:11. I've also
been a bit of a Hermit because the vibration of most places just makes me nauseous. I've
always felt like a visitor on earth,  often joking that I am "an alien on assignment."
I'm sure being a Leap year Pisces and lunar Aquarian doesn't help much either.

I'm excited to be one of the "aware" during this wondrous time even if it means
getting "energy" sick. And I'll do a dance of joy as soon as this Ascension cold goes away.

Truly yours,
Anais

Magic and movement

I've answered a call to Erzulie this year and after setting up my altar amazing things began to happen.
The deity/ goddess or energy that you are working with will respond in numerous ways, over time you develop a unique style of communication with them. She's been trying to get my attention for a long time and I'm excited to finally be on this journey as a daughter of Erzulie.

More posts to come, and please come join me on twitter and my newly opened shop on etsy!

Moldavite dreams and the Winter Solstice

I sleep with a chunk of Labradorite under my pillow frequently and keep a dream journal. Exploring the world of dreams is an amazing experience and I feel that everyone should explore that universe. Studying my dreams has been such a transformational experience for me, even when I'm faced with things I don't want to see or that may make me uncomfortable. That being said I love the power of Labradorite because it brings me deeper into those seas.

The other night I decided to experiment with Moldavite. It's an intense and powerful gift from the earth that I enjoy working with during times of change in my life. That night I was able to really see clearly what it is that I'm searching for and what it is I should be focusing on for 2011. It was a powerful experience and I woke up feeling like my grandmother had shaken her finger in my face telling me "open your eyes!"

The timing of this dream and my decision to work with Moldavite again all makes perfect sense. The Winter Solstice is upon us...yes there is the obvious darkness and cold around us but hope must be present. The beauty, renewal and growth of Spring is in the near future. The Winter Solstice always brings the myth of Persephone to mind for me. During this time we enter the "underworld" of the self to emerge stronger.  This is the perfect time for self exploration, asking questions, analyzing and diving deep into the psyche.  My Moldavite dreams are just the beginning!

The fool and the archer: New Adventures

Hello and thank you for coming to my blog. My name is Anais, I live and work in New York City. I am a solitary wiccan, tarot reader, jewelry designer and astrology student. The purpose of this blog is to share my knowledge of these wonderful subjects with others and to learn as much as I can along the way from my fellow modern day gypsies.

Tomorrow night is a new moon in Sagittarius, a time of beginnings and adventure. I plan to conduct a "letting" go spell for the things that no longer serve a purpose in my life and to write a list of my goals and aspirations. This is a wonderful sign for sending your intentions for change out to the universe.

Consult the tarot about anything you might be nervous about, take a chance! Two great stones to wear/ carry/ or meditate with tomorrow are:
Citrine: confidence, attracting what you want, prosperity
Tigereye: strength ,courage, leadership, combating procrastination
